Nai'a Liveaboard Dive Trips
Nai’a has set new standards of liveaboard diving luxury in every way. Nai’a was completely restored in 1993 and refitted in 2000 and again in 2010 with the latest technology and facilities specific to the needs of today’s dive travelers. This extremely spacious liveaboard takes a maximum of 18 guests and has all the creature comforts of a quality land-based resort – including hot showers and cool staterooms – but with superior diving and a new view every day! Nai’a’s sophisticated sailing rig affords her the range, comfort and stability of a true expeditionary vessel. Her large, diver-savvy Fijian crew is world-famous for their dedicated service, kava-inspired music and can-do attitude that makes for great flexibility as well as a great time!
Fiji’s coral reef system is a complex web of barrier reefs surrounding large lagoons and islands. Coral growth and fish action are most robust on those outer barrier reefs. Marine life is especially concentrated within the reef passages and channels that link the lagoons with the deep ocean. But the barrier reefs are remote and vast – a long way from shore bases – so only the best-equipped live-aboard diving vessels can access these locations. Much of the area remains uncharted and the dive sites untouched. All this makes Nai’a dive sites in the Nai’a Triangle of Lomaiviti, Namena and Bligh Water largely exclusive.

This is a sample itinerary for a 10 day trip. Itinerary is subject to change at the Captains discretion.
Â
Day 1
Get picked up, either from Nadi International Airport or your hotel in Nadi, and be transferred by minivan in 30 minutes to Lautoka Harbour where Na’ia and its crew await your arrival. Once all the guests are on board, the liveaboard departs at around 1PM. Have lunch, then a check dive in the afternoon, followed by dinner.
Â
Days 2-10
Your days start early, with the 1st dive at 07:00AM, but not until after waking up to cereals, toast and hot coffee. Don’t worry as there will be a bigger breakfast after your return from diving. The 2nd dive of the morning is then at 10:30AM.
Â
The time spent underwater during the cruise in Fiji will be filled with pristine hard and soft corals, lots of sharks encounters, but also a paradise for critters lovers, featuring harlequin shrimps, frogfish and tons of nudibranchs. It’s not unusual to find some unnamed species as well: keep your eyes open or rely on your guide for new discoveries!
Â
A well deserved buffet style lunch and some rest on the sun deck or in the airconditioned saloon, as you wait for the 3rd dive at 2:30PM. The 4th dive is usually a dusk dive, with divers ready to hit the water at around 5:30PM. Have a shower and relax while dinner is getting ready: the Na’ia chef uses only fresh local fish, fruits and vegetables to create new surprises and delicacies at every meal.
Â
There will also a barbeque night that you won’t forget! Wine is also complimentary, just keep in mind that there will be a couple of night dives during the trip and therefore avoiding alcohol is necessary.
Â
Day 11
Disembark from Na’ia in Lautoka at around 8:00AM and be transferred to either Nadi International Airport or to a local hotel of your choice.
