The resort is complete with four modern buildings housing spacious one, two and three bedroom apartments, a full service dive center, activity desk, two swimming pools, restaurant, pool bar, vehicle rentals and the famous drive-thru air and Nitrox fill station. Built with active people in mind, Buddy`s knows exactly what is needed to make guests comfortable both during their busy day of scuba diving and exploring, and after. That’s why we`ve made every apartment complete with:

No unit is more than a few steps away from one of our 2 swimming pools and casual thatched roof, seaside pool bar. For sunning in a location with the ultimate view, there`s no place better than on our raised sand beach area overlooking the clear, turquoise waters of the Caribbean. A short stairway provides easy access to the tranquil ocean below – excellent for snorkeling and swimming. The resort`s intimate size and picturesque vistas make it an ideal setting to celebrate those special occasions, such as weddings, honeymoons and anniversaries. Or to celebrate life`s simpler pleasures while watching a blazing red sunset or unclouded moonrise.

Scuba Diving
On average, Bonaire`s visibility exceeds 100 feet (30 meters) and the average water temperature is 80 degrees Fahrenheit (29c). The fringing reef begins close to the shore, usually a short 30 foot (10 meter) swim or less, making Bonaire world renowned for its ease of shore diving.

The island boasts more than 80 dive sites listed and protected by the regulations of the Bonaire Marine Park. To help us keep our reef environment healthy for many years to come, we encourage all scuba divers traveling to Bonaire to familiarize themselves with the Marine Park Regulations prior to their visit.

Bonaire`s waters offer something special for every diver. Novice divers will appreciate the calm waters, reefs that run parallel to shore, and minimal currents. These conditions make it an ideal location to really work on improving those buoyancy skills! And the abundance of marine life living along the shallow drop-off area of the reef slope allows for maximum bottom time, while giving new divers an opportunity to develop a level of comfort and confidence in their newly learned skills.

Experienced scuba divers can enjoy the freedom of the unlimited air fill package, making as many dives as they want each day, according to their own safe profiles. With plenty of 80 and 63 cubic foot air and Nitrox tanks available, convenient benches for gear set-up, a sturdy ladder to provide easy access to the water, and adjacent rinse tanks and gear storage, diving at Buddy`s couldn`t be any easier.

Photographers, videographers and fish lovers will delight in the 364 species of fish that can be found in our waters, most of which call Buddy Reef their home. Our lively house reef is just a giant stride away from our dock, and teems with abundant marine life and colorful coral formations, perfect for diving day, night, or the active hours in between.

Or join our experienced, friendly dive staff on our morning or afternoon boat dives. Every day of the year our boats go out to explore the many dive sites on the nearby island of Klein Bonaire, a short 10 minute boat ride away, or to other spectacular dive sites not accessible from shore. Guided night dives are also arranged to great sites such as Town Pier, one of the most popular dives on the island.

Snorkeling
Snorkeling is a perfect activity for the whole family. But if you haven’t tried it yet, no problem! Our Dive Instructors will make you comfortable in the water in no time flat with our Skin Diver Certification course. Children as young as five can try their hand at breathing compressed air while remaining safely afloat with a special flotation vest, air tank, regulator and tank pressure gauge all integrated into one lightweight system when renting our SASY (Supplied Air Snorkeling for Youth) equipment. So what are you waiting for?

Cave Exploration
Bonaire has many cave systems, some are dry and others have lakes and tunnels. Here at Buddy Dive we offer you a unique opportunity to explore these ancient wonders with their majestic stalactites and stalagmites. We even offer you the chance to snorkel underground in the crystal clear water housed within.

Sport Fishing
Slowly but surely Bonaire is starting to become known as a sport-fishing destination. There are several good outfits that can take care of the most spoiled fisherman. Do not expect the seven story high flying bridge boats, rather somewhat smaller boats, with crew that are even more eager to catch fish than the paying customer is. Try it and you’ll find out Bonaire has it all: Marlin, Tuna, Wahoo, Dorado, and even great bone fishing!

Kayaking
This is one of the most popular activities on Bonaire, and there are all sorts of ways to experience it. Take a guided kayak tour through the mangroves or to nearby Klein Bonaire. Combine the Klein trip with a guided walk and exploration of the island, or a snorkel along the island shallow terraces - a perfect place to spot turtles at rest! Or go for a leisurely paddle and explore on your own as you tour the coast in front of the resort.

Mountain Biking
Miles and miles of trails have been laid on Bonaire specifically for this sport. Literally around every hilltop there are different vistas to enjoy. With such a wide variety of routes to choose from, we`re sure to be able to put together a tour that best suits your interest and fitness level.

Windsurfing
The trade winds on Bonaire are legendary, providing for the most stable winds in the world and making the nearby area of Lac Bay famous as a top-notch wind surf destination.
